I found an entry in my registry (XP Pro) HKLM-Software-
Microsoft-Mr. Enigma. Anyone know what this is? There
isn't any data in it, nor any info in Knowlegebase.

Mr. Enigma is puzzling everybody who looks into the XP Registry. Even people
usually well-versed in Windows have no idea what it is. Some say it has
something to do with DVD recorders. Others that it has to do with chat room
access.

The consensus is that it is harmless because even users who have completely
reinstalled XP have then found Mr. Enigma hanging around.

2 defs 4 enigma r
1-One that is puzzling, ambiguous, or inexplicable.
2- The electro-mechanical cipher
engine used by the Germans in World War II. Many of
their messages were deciphered at Bletchley Park, by
Alan Turing and others.

Perhaps someone at MS has sense of humor re 1.
