mpr.dll error

B

Brian H.

My company currently runs off of a Novell network and uses
Groupwise as their e-mail client. Yesterday, I did a
complete reinstall of Windows 2000 and netware on a pc for
one of my users. After I was done with the rebuild, I re-
booted the pc and attempted to open groupwise and received
the follow error "The procedure entry point
WnetEnumCachedPasswords could not be located in the
dynamic link library MPR.dll". Since yesterday I have not
been able to solve this problem.

Could you provide me assistance with this problem or point
me in the right direction as to where I may get assistance
to get the problem solved.

Thank you for your time,

Brian H.

looks like that is Multiple Provider Router DLL from microsoft.

Ive had plenty of w2kpro boxes with various service pack levels & nwclient
levels & groupwise client levels on them, but never came up with the error
you list.

could you provide some actual information, like which service pack of w2k,
what nwclient32 version (i belive what you refer to as netware is just the
novell client, NetWare is the NOS), & what groupwise version?

make sure you have nothing else on the machine that is trying to use mapi,
like outlook, or netscape mail, or whatever else. Then rename the mapi32.dll
& rerun the mapi installer for groupwise, for 55ep & lower it is NTWMS.EXE,
for gw6 & higher it is built into the client.

Have you tried to make sure there is nothing wrong with the diskdrive, or
that your memory is ok (disk diagnostics from the manufacture & chkdsk /f
c:, & for the memory memtest86).

good luck,
Keith
