MPG Files Freezing

Have XP Prof. with SP2 When I opening a folder containing a MPG file my
computer freezing. These files are from an HP R707 Camera. I have down loaded
all updates for the camera but this has not helped. The files do not seem to
be the problem. They are viewable on other computers. All updates to windows
XP are installed. If I go to window task manager it state the that folder is
not reponding and I am able to end and windows explorer returns to desk top.
Any suggestion??

I had a similar problem recently with my laptop. I found out that the
problem was with a codec. I uninstalled all my video editing and veiwing
software one at a time until I found the one that was causing it. Turned out
to be Ulead's dvd player.

I am only having trouble with MPG files downloaded from a HP camera. All
other MPG files are not having the problem.
