MpCmdRun.exe application update everytime I start up

Everytime I startup the computer I get a message window from Defender. The
messages says: An Application Registration change was made for a known
application file: C:\Program Files\Windows Defender\MpCmdRun.exe

Occurs absolutly everytime I start up.

I can seem to get Defender to tell me anything more about the message. The
Defender icon dissapears from the tray shortly afterwards.

Here's what I'm working with:
Gigabyte nForce4SLI GA-K8N Pro-SLI motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+ dual-core processor
2Gig OCZ Titanium 184 pin DDR400 memory
eVGA e-GeForce 6800GS graphics card
CoolMax CR-550B (550watt) power supply
Maxtor MXT-L01P200 200Gig UATA/133 hard drive
Benq DW-1655 16x Lightscribe DVD-RW
Sony CRX320EBK CD-RW/DVD-R
Thermaltake Swing ATX Mid Tower case
Thermatake Hardcano 13 fan controller
Windows XP Professional X64

I believe this is a normal message--especially if you start up just once a
day. I've seen a Microsoft message stating that this relates to the
scheduler job for the scheduled scan being updated. I believe you have some
non-default settings it tools, options--
probably "changes made to your computer by software that is allowed to run"

1. Open WD
2. Options
3. Turn off: Changes made to your computer by software that is allowed to
run

Tools, Options.

Grab the scroll bar on the right of the window and drag it down til you see
"real time protection options" and look at the bottom of that grouping.

Lots of people miss that one--I think there's a new paradigm here that we're
just not accustomed too--the internal structure of the app is
"web-like"--home page, back and forward buttons, etc. There's probably a
name for this, but I don't know it--anyway--scroll bars are presumably part
of that.
