Hello,

I can list my mp3's correctly in my windows media player, but they are not
longer on my harddisc. I even can play the mp3 files, but I cannot find them
maybe to make a backup copy. I think, the windows media player has converted
them to another format or something else. How can I reconvert them? Any
hints?

Windows media player does not convert your mp3's to another format. They are
still on your harddrive.

have you done a search for your files using *.mp3

Yes, I have, but no results. I have maybe 200 Mp3s extracted from my cds and
some self mades. They are all gone. But I can list them in WMP and play, but
I cannot find them on my whole harddrive. Very weird!

Or does exist a tool, that can copy the indexed mp3s from the window of the
WMP to disc? I just can save a file one by one... For saving them all one by
one, it would last too long.

Are you sure that you had *.MP3 files on your harddisk? Windows Media
Player normally will only create *.WMA files.

Within Media Player, you should be able to 'right-click' on a song, and
then choose 'properties'. This will give you the exact location and
name of the file.

I know. But why can I see the songs in the window of the wmp and not on
harddisc?

Yes, I also tried this. There I can see the location, but if I move there, I
find nothing. Very weird I say. I also unmask the system files and hidden
files, but I cannot find them.
