Mozilla rules and Internet Explorer sucks because javascript doesn't work properly in IE6 because M$ in it's infinite wisdom took support for the VM out of the browser leaving users on their to find plug-ins for java support. Mozilla doesn't have these problems handling problems with pages written in javascript.

And oh yeah, I've read and applied all the suggestions in "How to Troubleshoot Script Errors in Internet Explorer" at http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=308260 and none work. Microsoft, are you listening? YOUR browser will slowly die because of this!

Spin, M$ was required by the DOJ to leave their java out of their browser.
This was so that Sun could have a competitive chance too. When M$
bundles all of it's own plug-ins and apps into it's OS, people like
yourself become dependent on crappy, bundled M$ware instead of seeing
what the best 3rd party options are becuase you can't be arsed too go looking.
Now you complain becuase you can't continue to be brainwashed and coddled
by M$ including everything. You are a posterchild definition of a
MicroSheep!

Not really related to whether or no Mozilla is better than IE but...

JavaScript and Java are two, totally different things. The Java VM has
nothing to do with interpreting JavaScript scripts. Java is a high-level
programming language where web applets can be compiled and "embedded" into
web pages; where the Java VM would process them. JavaScript is an
interpreted language and can be inserted directly into HTML code; the web
browser itself does the processing.

JAVAscript and JAVA are two different critters. Both I.E. and NS/Moz have
native support for JS. See the Security tab in Control Panel|INTERNET
OPTIONS.

MS adapted Sun's JAVA, was subsequently sued for doing so, and lost. They
were required to remove MS JAVA from I.E. It can still be downloaded from
the Net, however. Or simply install the standard Sun implementation - the
same one that can be installed in NS/MOZ. http://java.sun.com/getjava

Hey Spin,

Open mouth....put foot in. If you slam something in a
newsgroup, you may po some people. People get ticked off
when all MS apps are bundled in and the same people get
ticked off when it's not included.

There's always Mac products. As far as IE is concerned,
Spin, there's always Netscape!

Laughing when others get slammed!

Exactly what is the problem? You only gave psuedo-solutions.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

I thought I explained it to you people, I INSTALLED the java plugin AND IT
DON'T WORK! On this very same computer Mozilla and Netscape render the very
same pages which are problematic in IE just fine. I'm hearing you so-called
experts talk about court battles and explain the difference between java and
javascript, which is all well and good, however I want IE to work as
well!!!!!!!

Go to http://www.java.com and see yellow button top right corner to get
Sun's Java software installed on your IE. (Nothing to do with
Javascript, by the way). If you have trouble with Sun's software, seek
advice via the resources provided by Sun on this web site.

Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.

Appreciate it but my problem is with reading Javascript so how do I fix
that? Experts please help me!
