Moving pictures

Re: Word 07, When I paste a picture from the clipboard to the document, I
cannot move the picture at all. I've followed the help info on dragging
pictures including turning off the snap to grid. But I cannot drag or move
at all. Also, the format tab does not appear for clipboard pastings. What
am I missing?

It sounds like the picture is formatted as In line with text. Select the
picture, click Pictures Tools - Format ribbon tab, then set Wrapping to
something other than In line with text, and you should be able to drag.

To set the default to allow dragging, click the Office button, Word Options,
Advanced tab, scroll down to the Cut, copy, and paste section, and set
Insert/paste pictures as: to something other than In line with text.
