Any idea what event ID gets created when moving an OU from one place to
another?

I guess you can't do a little experiment?

Yes, I already did that and did not find a very helpful event ID even with
all of my auditing enabled, so, I thought I may ask the rest of the Windows
community. Thanks for nothing. You may want to spend your posting time
lending meaningful advice not sarcasm

NTNEWS,

I do not think that Cliff meant anything sarcastically. Those answering
posts often ask the poster, "What have you done so far" ( or something to
that effect ) so that he/she has an idea of what the poster have already
done so that he/she does not necessarily ask the poster a lot of unnecessary
questions.

Furthermore, this is a learning ground. Self-discovery is a vital part of
the learning process. I *think* that Cliff was suggesting to you that you
create a test OU, then create another test OU and then move that one into
the first one and look at the event logs.... Sounds like you did that
already.

You see, a lot of people have a problem and then immediately post their
issue here without doing a search for something similar ( that may have been
asked and answered 1000 times ) or trying to figure it out themselves.

Anyway, I am sure that Cliff did not mean anything sarcasticly. I think
that the formulation of his sentence was simply his way of asking you "Have
you tried it already"?

HTH,

Cary

Thanks Cary.

I *was* being a little short, but there was no way of telling that the
OP had actually tried it and looked to see what happened. My
apologies, NTNEWS. Could you let us know what you were auditing?
Directory Service Access?

Cheers,

Cliff
