Moving only certain cells to another worksheet.

Can someone tell me how to move certain cells from
workbook to another. Let me explain. I have a workbook
that I am using to generate progress reports for school.
I want to record their homework. If a students misses a
homework assignment I was going to put an x in the cell
for them. If they did the homework, I was going to leave
it blank. Now, I want to move only those cells with the
x from that workbook into another workbook. Can anyone

The easiest way would be to filter your list after entering the data. Use
Data / Filter / AutoFilter to select x in the required column. You can then
select these (with Ctrl Shift 8) and copy/paste them into another sheet.
