Moving My Documents

H

Hugh

Good day:

Does anyone know if there is a way to move the target of
the My Documents shortcut (i.e the doucments themselves)
to a different logical drive in XP. I have tried moving
the folder "Hughs Documents" by drag-and-drop but am
unable to. The folder has a read-only attribute, which I
can't change, even with administrator privileges.

Ideas?

Download and install TweakUI:

Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP (TweakUI)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

After installing, go to Start > Programs > PowerToys for Windows XP >
TweakUI. Expand "My Computer" and click on "Special Folders".
You can easily change the location of the folders there.
