Moving multiple messages

Sometimes when moving multiple messages from a mailbox to
a pst by highlighting them as a group right-clicking and
choosing move, I get a message stating that creating one
item from the selected items could take some time, are you
sure...It wants to attach all selected messages before
moving them. Choosing smaller groups will allow the
messages to be moved. This behavior seems random, can't
pinpoint it to a certain folder, a certain aggregate size,
anything. Anyone ever seen this?

i found this same problem with different error msg when
moving mail out of a corrupt .pst to a new one. the only
common denominator i eventually found was that it was
limited to certain individuals email addresses. so what
i ended up doing was sort the emails by sender and then
highlight the sender bundles and move them accordingly.
i went from moving 8,000 emails at ~3 at a time to
getting it down to about 500 that i had to finish 2-3 at
a time.
