Moving MPEG/AVI files around in Windows Explorer

Just installed Win XP (Pro on my laptop, Home on my desktop). Trying to
archive mpeg/avi files to my Lacie external drives. As I pick up the files,
Explorer is throwing up a secutiry alert and saying it will close the
application to protect my computer. The files then won't move. How do I
overcome this problem please? (Never came across this using W98SE).
 
You need to set ActiveX in Internet Explorer properties to enable to avoid
that security nag.
