Moving messages

When I try to move messages the message that pops up is:
"Can't move the items. The item could not be moved. It was either already
moved or deleted, or access was denied." The item is clearly still in outlook
in one of the subfolders in Personal Folders, is NOT deleted, so the only
thing I can think is "access is denied". Can someone explain how to fix this?
 
What version of Outlook?

this?
 
OK, was this an upgrade from an earlier version, or a fresh install. If an
upgrade, check the size of your .PST file because earlier Outlook versions
were limited to 1.6GB in size and the errors you're could indicate an older
..PST at maximum size.
