Moving E-mail messages from ME to XP on new computer

How can I move my e-mail messages (in various folders in the Inbox) from my
old computer with ME to my new computer with XP? I don't have the equipment
or know-how to import with a direct cable or networked system. I copied the
messages from the old computer onto a CD and hoped I could copy them into the
new system, but I can't figure out where they go! Any help appreciated!
