Hi,

I have just added another HD to my computer and want to
move the directory and all its settings to the new dive.
Can I do this without stuffing anything up or is there a
utility I should be using?

Thanks

What you want is tweakui. Download and install it. Run it and go to My
computer|special folders. Redirect at will. Note that this changes only the
target. You will have to move the folder contents manually afterward. Good
luck.

Go to the manufactures web site, of your hard drive, and
see if they have a program for you to do this,if not you
will need to purchase one ,like Nortons ghost....Good
luck.

After reading your post more carefully, my suggestion isn't exactly the
answer you wanted. Tweakui will allow you to redirect certain folders within
docs & settings, but not the entire directory. I'm not sure you can safely
move the entire directory since many applications throw stuff in there,
particularly the application data folder. Good luck.
