Moving data from XP HD to Vista

I have a hard drive removed from my now non-functional laptop which was
running XP. The Hard drive is fine and all my data is intact on the drive.
I have the drive connected by USB to the new laptop and Vista recognises the
drive and can read the data. Is there a simple way of migrating the data
into Vista on the new laptop? The Windows Easy Transfer has worked well for
me in the past when the old system is a working computer, but there is no
functionality to use it on a hard drive connected as an external device.
Hope someone has a good idea about this, I hate the idea of having to go
folder by folder and pull things over manually (and probably miss stuff).
Thanks.

That's about the only option you have if the hard drive can't be put into a
computer and used to boot Windows XP. Easy Transfer cannot move files and
settings from a hard drive such as the one you have.
