I have XP on too small a hard drive.
I have a larger drive already formatted and running as "Slave".
I have PowerQuest Partition Magic and Drive Image.
Is there a straightforward procedure for moving everything
bodily from the Master to the Slave, after which I plan
on discarding the smaller hard drive?

You'll need to make an "image" of your old hard drive and then
transfer the "image" to your new drive. To accomplish this,
you'll need to purchase a third-party program:

Norton Ghost 2003
http://www.symantec.com/sabu/ghost/ghost_personal/

or

PowerQuest Drive Image
http://www.powerquest.com/driveimage/

You may also wish to visit the support website of the manufacturer of your
new hard drive and see if they have a free utility program that you can use to
accomplish this task. For example, if you have a new Western Digital drive,
you can download their free Data Lifeguard Tools which includes "drive-to-drive
copy capability" (Ref: http://support.wdc.com/download/).

Fujitsu

IBM and Hitachi

Maxtor

If your version of Drive Image is 7.0 it has a feature for specifically
copying a drive when upgrading to a larger drive. Works much like Norton's
Ghost (and even better in my opinion).

Hmmmmm.....My Drive Image is only 5.0 .......
I'll ask around, and thank you.

Thank you, Nicholas....as I mentioned, I already have Drive Image..
I gues I'm going to have to read the 128-page Manual...
