Move sent messages to subfolder

J

Jasper

I've noticed that for people that I've created a rule to move incoming
messages to an inbox subfolder, my sent messages also get moved to
that folder. But I haven't created a rule to do this - just a rule for
the incoming messages. This is useful and I want to replicate it on my
outlook at work without creating a lot of new rules. How do I do this?
I'm using outlook 2000 in both cases with no MS Exchange. Thanks.

Do you have the option to save sent items with the original in folders other
than the Inbox checked?

I've been attempting to do this also and have not been
successful. In Outlook 2000 one of the base rules to
apply the rule 'when a message was SENT'. In 2003 the
only 'base rule' is to 'apply the rule after the message
ARRIVES'. This does not help for users who want to send
a copy of all sent messages to their inbox--I like to use
my inbox as my 'to do' file; so if a message I send needs
a follow up, it's always in my inbox; and if no follow up
is needed, I just file it.

The option to execute a rule upon sending is still there. Rules and
Alerts>New Rule>Start from a blank rule.

THANK YOU, BRIAN! I searched and searched online help and
always came up empty. Finding that option is not exactly
intuitive....
