Hi,

Is it possible to copy or move Offline content that has been saved by
synchronising?

I see the C:/Windows/Offline Web Pages folder, but trying to copy any
item somewhere else just results in a Shortcut being placed there :(

Can't seem to find what I'm looking for at the Knowledge Base.

(I'm trying to move quite a bit of Offline content from my laptop to
desktop, so I can reformat and give it a good "spring clean", before copying
all this stuff back again.)

I assume you have the laptop and desktop networked?
Although I haven't tried such a transfer until now, I was interested in your
post because I find that the offline function doesn't work on some Web
sites, like the NY Times, where content is removed after a few days.
Also, how are you trying to move the folder contents? If your problem is
with dragging and dropping, try RIGHT-clicking on the folder, then drag it
to the new location. You should see a window with choices to move or to copy
the folder or to put a shortcut there. Choose copy, and see if it works or
if you get only a shortcut. If the latter is true, try right-clicking on the
folder, click on copy, and then right-click in the folder or drive where you
want to save it and click on paste.
If that doesn't work and you're willing to risk losing the pages on the
laptop, try the same technique with cut instead of copy, then paste. I was
able to cut and paste the offline folder to my desktop and then back to the
windows folder successfully, but I was not working with a network drive or
with two computers. If you can cut and paste to a new location, the odds are
very good that you can do the same thing in the future in the other
direction, back to the laptop, but no guarantees!
