Mouse scrolling in Lotus Notes Mail

How can you get the Intellipoint Mouse scrolling feature
to work in Lotus Notes mail? It will work if I open an
email, but not in a folder (i.e. inbox). I am running
Windows 2000 and Lotus notes 5.0.11
 
Doesn't work in NT4 and Notes ver 5.0.4a either but that's about par for
the course as I consider Notes a POS anyway.
