mouse problem

Hi, my mouse works ok when I first turn my computer on, and in a few minutes,
the cursor will not move vertically. Is the problem the computer or mouse?
If it is the mouse, what one would you recommend to purchase. My computer
also takes a long time connecting to the internet. Hope you have some advice
for me. Thanks
 
What kind of mouse? You need to tell us more detail. USB, PS/2, wireless?
Brand?
