Mouse Problem

I just bought a new Dell laptop and have migrated the DNA including
settings. Both use XP2, IE7. The old computer works well. I use the
touch pad on both.

On the new computer when I go to control panel/../mouse/pointer options, and
select the "snap to" option, that option only holds for awhile. And it
definitely becomes unchecked on any reboot. What am I not checking to make
changes permanent?

Are the two laptops identical? There might be some conflict with
drivers. If the laptops are slightly different, see if you can find
chipset drivers on the dell support site. That might help sort out
some issues. Also, as a precaution (always) back up before installing
something like chipset drivers. Good luck

Are you saying is this a resolution to your problem, or are you giving this
as a suggestion to someone, or just making a statement, or asking for
assistance? You haven't quoted any of the message to which you reply so
it's out of context. Many people who post here use a newsreader, and only
download the recent messages so we don't see what went before it.

Thats a suggestion to your problem. Have you tried it, and do you know how
to do that. Thanks Terry
