My mouse pointer automatically selects without me clicking. How do I turn
this feature off?

I had this problem on my notebook when I first purchased it then
installed and external mouse and has been ok since.

Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Mouse

Start | Run | Type: main.cpl | Click OK |
Pointer Options tab | UNCheck: Automatically move pointer to the default
button in a dialog box | Click Apply | Click OK

Automatically move pointer to the default button in a dialog box

OK or Apply) in dialog boxes. In some programs, Snap To may cause the
pointer to automatically move to the center of the dialog box rather than to
