Mouse - Noise comming from tower when scrolling

The past couple of days I have noticed a strange noise comming from my Computer when I use the scroll wheel on my mouse. I am using a HP wireless USB mouse on a HP Mdl.# 7966 computer.

Noise resembles a grinding sound. only happens when scrolling, do not notice any noise when moving cursor across screen.

Any helpfull thought would be greatly appreciated
