Mouse Lock-Up

I purchased a Dell laptop several months ago and recently
upon leaving the computer idle for over a half hour, the
mouse will lock up or be exceedingly hard to control. I
still use the thermal mouse that is incorperated into the
lap-top. I've already disabled system stand-by and turn
off hard disk. Any suggestions?

I would contact Dell tech support. They may know what is wrong, and if
not, it may be a hardware problem that should be addressed while the
laptop is new and under warranty. Don't delay.
