Mouse cursor

When I use Yahoos messenger my mouse cursor has a little tail that looks like a
sideways quesion mark that flickers when I mouse over the text box.
I also have other stragne unexpalinable things happen when I use yahoos
messenger. Is there some kind of backdoor virus that is being used to control
my machine. I usually have these problems right after a cetain person privates
me.
