Occasionally while on a web page, the keyboard and the mouse will lockup..
This requires a Power Off and then a POST to clear the problem,,,
I am using Win2KproSP4 plus SeaMonkey browser on a Micron TransPort GX3...

Does the clock stop? If so there more than likely is some bad hardware and
or driver corruption. I'd start with the graphics adapter. You might try a
'Safe Mode' boot and or a minimal boot. (no non-microsoft services, no
startup items) via msconfig or autoruns.

I had a problem similar to this when I changed my DDR2 4200 ram to DDR2
5300. I was using a sony vaio laptop.
