Dear All,

I have created and formatted an NTFS partition (logical in extended
partition) and mount it to a empty path in Windows XP professional. It
seems fine.

However, all created directories in that partition cannot be deleted
(although files can be deleted).

Can anyone offer a help how to solve the problem?

Thanks a lot first.

Try going to run, type:diskmgmt.msc In msc,L.click on the partition, actions,
all,change file path/letter,change path,delete the partition.

Please DO NOT follow Andrew E advice. This idiot always gets a buzz from
telling people to format their hard drives and losing their data.

Are you able to move the folders to a different drive??? If so are you able
to delete that way.

Have you tried deleting the folders in safe mode or tried cut and paste in
to recycle bin.
