Motion path - Alignment

When an object uses Motions Paths it always uses the center point of the
object when moving. I would like objects to use motion paths with left,
right, top or bottom alignment (not center). I can't find that function.

When you have an object selected you can click on either the red or green
arrowhead on the path and move the path independent of the object. Is that
what you mean?

No,

Even if you move the red or green arrowhead the object motion is allways
started from the center of the object. I want for example the left side of
the object to stop on the red arrowhead. It is allways the center of the
object that stops on the red arrowhead.

Richard,
You can't change the fact that the motion paths start and end from the
center point of the slide element. However, you can fake out PPT in one of
two ways:
1) Take Adam's advice and move your arrow to start or end where you want
things. Then, adjust the size of the path to take the size of the object
into account.
or (a little easier)
2) Add a second object to your slide that has no line and no fill. (You may
want to leave it visible while you set this up and then change the line and
fill.) Move it so that it sits right next to your other object, but left,
right, above, or below the object. Group the two objects. Now apply the
motion path. By adding the second object, you move the center point to the
point where the two objects touch. When the animations run, it will appear
that the edge of the object is the start and end point instead of the center
of the object.

(If you need some concrete ideas about how this second idea works, post
back. I know that there are some examples on Glen Millar's site and on
Glenna Shaw's site, but I would need to look up the exact URLs for you.)
