Hi, I'm considering Asus P5GDC vs. P5GDC-V, the only difference appearing to
be the that the V has onboard video. (I can't tell forsure since the
idiotic Asus website doesn't even list it). At my store, it's only like $5
more, so is there any reason not to get it over the standard version? The
video can be disabled anyway I assume. Any other boards I should consider
at this price? (US$150 or so)

I've had the P5GDC-V for about 8 months and it's been great. I believe
you're right - the only difference between those boards is the onboard
video.

I'm not a big gamer but I do play Call of Duty once in a while (single
player) and the onboard video does the job. You can always disable it
if you get a PCI-e card.

If you get that board and connect it to any type of network, remember
to go to Device Manager, and in the properties for the network adapter
turn off the "Wake On..." options. Otherwise, after you shut down, your
machine will keep turning itself back on, and you'll have a heck of a
time finding out what to change. I spent a week looking through BIOS
options but that's not where it was set.

TY sir for the info. Good to hear it works well with one game at least :)
I'll eventually get a new pci-e card, but just waiting for more money.
Hehe.
