ISSUE - Windows XP & accessing files to copy / transfer :

My laptop will not boot as it’s motherboard needs replacing.
Replacement is not currently available & I cannot access majority of my files.

Main files are stored under “User – XYZ†which XP needs password to access.
I can remove hard drive & access it as an external hard drive from diff.
computer.

This does not allow me to enter XP user password so I cannot copy my files !!!
Is there any way to access & copy these files ???

This is priority, not the laptop itself.

In XP Home you have to boot in safe mode to see the security tab. In XP
Pro you have to disable simple file sharing.
