If the memory checker says it failed the memory test, it's probably not lieing. In my case it hated cheap memory but accepted kingston.
So if that is the case I would check your ram with windows memory diagnostics found at http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp. It is a very fast tool and detects errors well.
If it isn't the case, ignore it.
