most-used fonts at top of font list

I am using Word 2003 on Windows XP.

On the formatting tool bar, there is the name of the font you are using and,
if you click the drop down arrow, a list of all fonts available. Word
remembers the fonts you have used and puts them at the top of the list and
out of alphabetical order. Is there a way of removing one or more of those
fonts from the top of the list?

Stephen,

AFAIK, you can turn it off or on but you can't strike
individual entries. See:

Which would likely apply to Word2003

Thank you. I did go to the page you sent me and it very quickly got much
more involved than I had hoped. I think I will learn to live with it the
way it is!
