Hi,

We have 3 networks sepaerated by cisco routers, but they have been setup
with public IP address's instead of a private range. I am about to resolve
this issue but im wondering which would be the best range to use.

Lan1 has 1 server 10 workstations
Lan2 has 1 server 30 Workstations
Lan3 has 4 servers 150 Workstations (which is increasing by the day)

What i dont want to do is go through the process of changing the IP range to
find i could be short of available IP address's for Lan3

Any help/suggestions or examples would be very welcome.

Well it depends how big your network will be in 6 months or 1 year.

If your network is not going to grow larger than 65535 nodes in several
years than I would say you should be safe using 192.168.xxx.xxx range.
However if you forsee a big grow in your network or you are planning to
further divide your network in more and more subnets then it is probably
better to go with 10.xxx.xxx.xxx.

Also as Jetro suggested it is a good ideea to use DHCP in this way whenever
you need to make any 'major' changes your work would be so much easier. Not
to mention the other advantages that DHCP would offer.

Hope this helps

While you could supernet two class C's, best is to start with a class
B for LAN3. I'd use 192.168.x.x ranges for 1 and 2, a 172.16.x.x
range for Lan 3
