mfpmp.exe

There it is the problem. Drag an mp3 into wmp. Now CPU up to 75%. No
volume but progress is moving. Same in winamp - no problem. My app - no
problem.

So MS what the ..... are you doing? I know what it is but the only thing
seemless is the volume which never amount to anything.

Kill mfpmp.exe and it works fine until it trys to start another song.

I don't think there is anything in this OS that works.

Ok to get WMP to play a song with volume I have to do the following:

1. Select song to play (drag / drop or from library)
2. Once song is "playing" open taskmanager
3. Kill the 75% CPU hog mfpmp.exe
4. Restart the song and now it plays
5. Next song start again.

What an amazing piece of software. All this to restrict users rights. Way
to go MS.
