More than 2 GB RAM for Apps in XP?

Joe Williams

Hi,

We're a manufacturing company that puts XP Pro on the
controller for a product we sell. We put 4 GB RAM in that
computer, but XP only address 2 GB of it for Apps (as you
may know).

We have heard that MS has a patch for XP Pro that allows
it to use 3 GB for apps, but it will not be available to
the public 'til Service Pack 2 is released.

I have searched MSDN, Technet, etc., but don't find info
on the patch and we could sure use it now. Would anyone
be able to give me information on this? Is it just a
rumor?

Thank you in advance !!!
