More lines to one

Hi
When I copy and paste four lines into a row, they will be pasted into four
cells downwards e.g. A1,A2,A3, and A4. Now I want to paste them into A1,B1,C1
and D1. Is this possible ?
Thanks
Therese

Hi,

A1 isn't changing so select A2, A3 & A4 and copy them
Select B1 then
Edit|Paste special select transpose and click OK.

Paste usually follows the shapeof the coy. If you copy Z1,Z2,Z3 and paste
into A1, the data will go in A1,A2,A3. If you want the data to go in
A1,B1,C1 then:

Edit > PasteSpecial > Transpose
