More Inbox Count

Earlier I posted that:

My Inbox count indicates 14 unopened emails. Inbox (14)

I have opened all my emails. Where are the 14 unopened
emails? I have rebooted twice.

I received a reply saying Reset your current view and see
if they are still hidden; View-> Arrange By-> Custom...

I went to the computer to try the reset and the emails
were there! All 14! The computer had been on for over 3
hours. Where were the emails during that time and what
made them appear?


I did Reset the view as was suggested anyway.
