More Add/Remove

I have just stripped my drive and reloaded win xp home, updated to sp2 to try
to clear my problem with this. (I had many programs loaded before this redo,
and the add/remove screen was totally blank)
My add/remove screen is again blank, I have added only a few programs, e.g.
Norton, but even the windows updates should show up ... net framework should
be there, etc. This is not 'white space" there is nothing to scroll down.

I ran someones negative icons script from a post here ... no entries.
Any ideas?

Nope, I have Norton I.S. and .net framework, plus all the XP updates from sp1
thru sp2, everything else is cleaned out at present and I'm afaid to install
more that I won't be able to remove!

OK Here's the latest. I inadvertantly left the screen up ... after 22
minutes the screen populated! This is a 3 GZ machine w/1gb ram! what gives?
