Monkey takes self-portrait

Any photographer should know that leaving a camera unattended in the presence of wild animals is not a good idea. Fortunately for photographer David Slater, the monkeys who nabbed his unattended camera were more intent on playing around with the expensive toy than smashing it to bits. Result: hundreds of photographs, a few of which were quite good by any standards, even for a human.
