Monitor

My brother in law has a 17 inch Samtron 76V crt monitor.
After a recent windows upgrade he is no longer able to
center his desktop. That is , the whole picture has moved
down and to the left. Each time I reset it for him it
keeps going back down and to the left whenever he
restarts. This is a new computer that came with windows
xp yet the monitor software only has drivers for windows
2000. What can I do to help him fix this problem. He did
change some of the font sizes but I don't think that has
anything to do with it.
Thanks for any help.

You looked at the monitor controls?

How about Control Panel|DISPLAY|SETTINGS. There may centering controls
under one of the menus. Click the tabs and take a look.

Adjust your settings. My viewonic will be way off until I reset
the refresh rate and the resolution. There may also be a few
driver confilicts. You did mention the word _upgrade_.

good luck
