monitor setting problems

My computer worked just fine until I loaded Easy CD
Creator and then it completely went nuts. It restarted
itself and then when it restarted the color scheme looks
like it's in safe mode, but its not. A message came up
that said something in the Easy CD Creator caused a
problem with the driver. So I went to add/remove programs
and tryed to delete the Cd Creator but it wont let me, it
says that the windows installer is not installed properly
or my computer may be in safe mode and that will keep me
from being able to delete a program. Then a message
popped up that said my resolution settings are at a
extremely low setting and if I want to correct the
problem click on the balloon in the task bar. I did that
but it didnt correct anything. I then went to the display
section and noticed that my screen settings were on the
lowest setting of 4 bit and the screen resolution is
800x600 pixels. I tryed to change the color quality to a
higher setting but it wont let me and I cant change the
screen resolution either. The color quality just shows
the 4 bit as the only option. What do I need to do. I
really need some help!

Reload the video drivers, which may be on one of your CDs. If not, try
downloading a recent driver from the chip, video card or PC manufacturer's
WEBsite.

It sounds like perhaps you installed an early version of Easy CD Creator
that is not compatible with Windows XP. In any case, try going into
Safe Mode (repeatedly tap the F8 key as your computer is starting up to
get the menu) and from there run System Restore to before you installed
Easy CD Creator.
