Monitor Refresh and Pol-Edit

Hi I am an academic user and know enough about computers to
have preferences. What I mean here is a monitor refresh
rate. The computer I sit down at when at school has the
monitor refresh menu disabled and I am thinking that is a
gpedit or something of the like policy. I cannot say which
video card as I did not gather than information. My
thought is that since this is on a Win2kPro machine and I
have a run prompt and I'm hoping author mode is allowed for
gpedit..perhaps you guys could help me.

My reasons are simple: Every computer is set at 60hz on a
21" screen....talk about migrain inducing! All that I ask
is for 85 hertz. So if any of you could help me make a
script..edit a policy, do a little Reg prodding..I would be
super appreciative! If you can't help me..please forward
to someone who can!

Thanks!!

Video settings are only available to admin accounts.
Speak with those that run the systems, they probably
do not use them and so are unaware how irritating
the lack of proper setting is to those that do use them.

Sounds like a great idea. And I will approach one.
However I have experienced a severe lack of enthusiasm on
their parts in prior occasions where any effort is required
of them. This is not my wish to usurp the power. I just
want to know if there is a way. Might you know? TY again
