I have a dell badged sony trinitron 19" flat monitor. Been working fine
but recently its developed light blue lines about an inch apart running
horizontally accross the screen. these are more noticable on dark
backgrounds. I've tried changing the grapgics driver (tnt nvidia) with no
luck. can anyone suggest anything else. Hope its not my monitor at fault.
Cost me £400 two years ago
thanks in advance

It does sound as though the monitor might be failing but another possibility
is a magnetic source too close to the monitor. Often, speakers are the
cause of this type of issue but it could be a radio, a TV, virtually any
electromagnetic source positioned too close to the monitor.

Also, if you have anything on top of the monitor or otherwise blocking the
vents, remove it.

If there is a degausse button on your monitor click on it. It
will get rid of any magnetic disturbance. :)
