Monitor is Flickering

Just bought a new ViewSonic VA1912wb monitor & it flickers. I have the colour
set to 1440x900 & speed at 65, but it is still flickering. Any Ideas please
as this is my sencond monitor.

I bought the same monitor, maybe just coincidence, but mine was defective.
At bootup message would appear, " No Signal" and screen would flash, flicker
rapidly for a while. After four or five contacts with ViewSonic Tech support
I returned the monitor for an exchange. New ViewSonic monitor functioning
flawlessly. As I say maybe a coincidence.
