Monitor Icons on Desktop

The desktop fonts and icons are HUGE and I cannot read a
full page email. How do I get everything back to a size
that fits on my page? The settings say that the fonts
are "normal" size, but they aren't.

Change you're resolution.
Right click desktop, properties, settings tab, set to 800 x 600 or 1024 x
768.

And if that solution is not desirable consider going into the Display
Properties>Appearance tab and changing the font size on the various
windows interface elements individually.

Under Display Properties:Settings choose Advanced and make sure that your
DPI Setting is still 96 DPI. A high DPI setting could cause this as well.
