Monitor Display Problem

For some reason the display on my monitor suddenly does not fill the whole
screen and I now have a border of about 3/4" around the display. It is not a
question of adjusting the size on the monitor itself as this is a new
problem which has arisen very recently and it must be a software problem.
Any suggestions?

Could have been caused if you updated your video drivers recently, or if you
changed the screen resolution. If you did update your drivers, make sure
they were the correct ones for your video card. Also, if the monitor is old,
and you are unable to adjust using the monitor controls, it could also be
that it is starting to die.
