Monitor arrangement won't stay

I have an external monitor that extends my laptop screen to the left. This
can be set up with no problems while in Vista. However, when I reboot the
external monitor relocates to the "right" of my laptop. It will not stay
arranged how I want. This problem didn't exist before I installed SP1, so is
this a problem with the update or something else?

Ok, so I finally figured out a solution on my own. My laptop is a Sony
SZ450N, so the NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 driver can only be "officially" updated
using the version from Sony. However, that driver appears to have problems
when upgrading to Vista SP1 (and is more than a year old). An alternative is
to use a more current, modified driver from laptopvideo2go.com (I used 167.43
for Vista). After installing this new driver, my display arrangement now
stays the same after restarting my laptop. Hope this solution helps some
other people.
