Modem Connection Info Balloon

I have W2000 Professional, and connect online via a US Robotics 56K
modem. When I connect, an icon appears in my systray, and an info
balloon appears (pointing to the icon), showing my connect speed. I
like this, as it provides info that I want when I connect. The problem
is that the balloon stays on screen much too long for my liking (app.
30 seconds) before it closes. Is there a way to change this display
time in W2000?

You cannot change the amount of time.
Just left click on the balloon and it will disappear.
