MMC: RPC Server Unavailable

On ALL of our computers that I try and connect to via MMC I always get
the error: rpc server is unavailable.

Do I have to turn this on for each of my computers? Why can't I connect
to them via MMC out of the box?

I checked one of the computers I was attempting to connect to and it's
on our LAN, so I'm not going through a firewall to get to it. It has
the RPC service running. And I'm still getting the same error.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

The target PC doesn't have a firewall.

My computer is XP SP2. I'm trying to connect to a Win2k machine that
has the RPC service running. It's also on my local LAN so there are no
other firewalls in the way.

Thanks
